Cecil Leitch Matches 2014

Cecil Leitch match versus Peterborough and Milton GC away, Thursday 3rd July

It was a long way to go on 2 occasions as our previous meeting had to be abandoned due to a severe thunderstorm. The weather this time was great, very warm and sunny. However, their numerous bunkers seemed to play havoc with our teams results but well done Pat going to the 19th hole!! The ladies from Peterborough were very friendly and we all enjoyed our games but unfortunately we lost the match and now look forward to our return match in a couple of weeks time.
Team - Pat Ward (Captain), Yvonne Husband, Alison Berry, Sheila McCarthy, Denise Green, Ann Lydon and Jacky Austin.

Thank you to all the team who played and supported the club in a positive manner. Well done to Susan, Sheila and Denise who won their games.

Cecil leith Match vs Rushden GC (A)

An enjoyable afternoon was spent today at Rushden Golf club to play our first Cecil Leitch match. The weather was again not kind to us, cloudy skies, some rain and eventually sunshine. The result did not go our way, with only Alison Berry winning her match. Well done Alison. Hopefully our next match will be more successful but the ladies tried hard.

The final result 6 games to 1. We look forward to the return match early in July.
